Here it is already pleasant again.

Been too fast. It went well once. After that no more (Edge).

@ René, I work with Chrome, but that trick doesn't work.

I'm talking about 2 applications here.

1st application is that you put something in your shop via the catalog, the moment you save something, then you go back to the catalog page. that's going well!

And in the 2nd application, I go to an item to state that it is a Doublure, then I save this, and go back to the item page instead of the catalog page.

if the back button was on the items page, you could click it to go back to the catalog page, but that is no longer possible due to the new layout.

The trick, on the detail page of the item I cannot click on the title, after all it says Duplicate, and that is fixed text at that moment.

So I have to go back to Duplicate entry and save it via the backup of Browser to get back to the catalog page, because the back button is missing.

It turned out that it had been a good week, but something has changed again causing the problem with Doubure.

In short, if I want to make a change to an item, and I then save it , I would want to return to the catalog page afterwards. but I come back to the items page, where I used to click the back button to get to the catalog page. (that was simple)

so now I come back to the items page, and actually don't get any further than that, unless I now use the browser backup button, and I have to click back all the actions I've done to eventually end up on the catalog page.

Aha, thanks, good to know Edge isn't doing well either.

@aartinge, we assumed this scenario where things went wrong:

- You're in a gallery
- Selects an item
- You will be taken to the item detail page
- You click on change
- You modify the item
- You will return to the item detail page, with a green bar at the top indicating that the change has been made.

If you click on the back button, you will return to the edit page in Chrome (unless you have clicked something on the page first).

Is this also the scenario you mean or do you mean something else?

- You modify the item
- You will return to the item detail page, with a green bar at the top indicating that the change has been made.

So far this is correct, I am still in the detail page, so I have to use the backup of the browser to go back, and then I return to the edit page, and then again to the detail page, and then again in the gallery page.

From the detail page, the back button was useful, because clicking it took you directly to the gallery page.

The main goal should be that after saving both item or change you will go directly to the gallery.

This used to be the case even if you did not use the back button, indeed you now have to tap 1x more on the back button

what is the added value of that? 1 tap less

button also needs space again, I think more a matter of getting used to

1 click on the back button: directly on RENEWED gallery page

So

now:

Click 1: back in edit item

Click 2: back in the item

Click 3: back in the gallery page of the past (where your changes are not visible)

Click 4: refresh the page, ahaa, there we are ...

For example, if you want to add the number of pages in a volume of a weekly magazine, you are doing (52 x 3) 156 extra clicks.

It's a matter of setting, after saving you have to set that you go back to the gallery page. just like you go to the gallery page after entering and after saving.

if I now change something and save I will return to the item page, if I still want to change something in between, I will then return to the item page, and if I then want to go back after the gallery page, I can only go back via all changes and that's 6 clicks through the browser. and that's why the back button we had was very important.

@aartinge: Thanks for the explanation. It is obvious.

There is one more thing to try: when you come back to the item detail page, you can click the cross in the green bar, so that the green bar disappears. And you can then press the back button again. I wonder if you will go back to the gallery.

But you have to be fast enough, because that bar will disappear by itself after a while ...

Thank you so far!

I was one of the people who tested the new screens (and would like to continue to do so in the future). As far as my info, the intention was to remove the "Back" everywhere on the new site and indeed use the browser's default back. If this causes problems, this must of course be investigated. Keep the following in mind: If you really need to click "Back", you can also go directly to the gallery programmatically. If we choose this option (where you leave the item) you need an extra click to get back in the item to create a link or put it in collection / shop / search list. So it will never be good for everyone.
