Perry Winkle can still be translated by Sjors.
But what is the Spanish translation of Peer de Plintkabouter? :-)

As long as Peer does not appear in Spanish, I do not think it is necessary to translate this. my main concern is to provide the non-Dutch albums with the correct hero name. Tintin would then only apply to those language areas where Tintin is called Tintin and not to the Dutch albums. We are only left with Franka, who is so called in several language areas.

Comic terminology plays a role here too. Editions may be referred to here as “original first edition” or “translated first edition”. See my comment under & lt; 1st edition and reprint & gt ;. This distinction only makes sense to me to mention with “original first release”.

I think it is only useful to be really serious about this once the functional specifications are completely clear of any other language editions. Because of course there are already thoughts about this among the builders.

Question for the administrators of this great catalog: I own a large number of English language mini albums on war - western - adventure, etc. Is there room for this too? The same applies to English MAD s from 1960 to now.

Yes, Ad, there are already many foreign-language publications in Catawiki.
For example, you can see an overview of what is already in the English-language Mad here:
http://www.catawiki.nl/ catalog / Comics-Series -...
So you can just add the numbers that are not there yet in the same way.
When entering other items, please take into account the standards that have been agreed for the Album series field.
Good luck!

Coincidentally saw this discussion and was triggered by MAD English. There are different MAD English versions: American (the original), and edited British and Australian versions, which have their own numbering, with often different (local) content. Because I myself used to walk around with an American missing list, I often bought a “wrong” number. In any case, they are easily recognizable by the printed prices / Have the impression that you are "English" American.
