Bij Boeken en Strips hebben we zo goed als vanaf het begin afgesproken dat we dit soort afwerkfouten (het zijn de facto geen misdrukken) niet apart opnemen, omdat die er bijna van elk boek zijn en dat dus leidt tot 'catalogusvervuiling'. In de praktijk zal een (strip)winkelier of distributeur als hij zo'n exemplaar tegenkomt meteen de kaft omvouwen, er een briefje 'retour' opplakken en retourneren aan respectievelijk de distributeur of uitgever. Dit geeft ook meteen aan hoeveel zo'n boek volgens de reguliere handel waard is. (;-)
Gebruikers die dit soort foute exemplaren leuk vinden, kunnen het gewoon in de Notities opnemen in hun collectie; eigenlijk op dezelfde manier als dat je een boek met een niet standaard bijlage opneemt in je collectie. En je kan er ook nog drie eigen afbeeldingen bijzetten.

At Books and Comics we have agreed almost from the start that we will not include these types of finishing errors (they are de facto not misprints) separately, because they are almost there for every book and that therefore leads to 'catalog pollution'. In practice, when a (comic) retailer or distributor comes across such a copy, it will immediately fold the cover, stick a 'return' note on it and return it to the distributor or publisher respectively. This also immediately indicates how much such a book is worth according to the regular trade. (;-)
Users who like this kind of bad copy can just include it in the Notes in their collection; actually in the same way as if you include a book with a non-standard attachment in your collection. And you can also add three of your own images.

Bij 'misdrukken' die we wél opnemen gaat het altijd om (een aanzienlijk deel van) de gehele oplage waarbij het is misgegaan en die per ongeluk gewoon is verspreid en daarna (veelal) uit de handel is teruggevraagd. Vandaar dat díe specifieke misdrukken eenduidig zijn en over het algemeen bekend zijn bij een brede groep winkeliers en consumenten.
Uit het afgelopen jaar herinner ik me bijvoorbeeld Biebel 4 (verkeerd omslag) en een Batman (deels in zwart/wit).

Volgens mij val ik in herhaling want we hebben deze discussie al een keer gevoerd maar vooruit:
Alle beheerders bij de strips zullen deze misdrukken weigeren. Niet omdat ze hun verzamelgebiedje angstvallig beschermen maar omdat er over dat verzamelgebiedje hele duidelijke richtlijnen zijn wat er wel of niet opgenomen wordt in de catalogus..

Ik heb met Arco ook deze discussie al een keer eerder gehad en hem gezegd dat de misdrukken bij boeken zo goed als nihil zijn door de strenge eindcontroles (heb zelf een tijdje gewerkt bij een drukkerij). Dat maakt die boeken ook uniek en zal het maar om een heel klein aantal gaan want als er een paar doorslippen en ook nog worden gespot en deze verzamelaars zouden ook nog de moeite willen nemen om deze op CW te plaatsen dan kan je niet van catalogusvervuiling spreken. ARCO "vaak buj te bange!"

Richtlijnen die worden gemaakt kunnen ook veranderd worden ! Zolang dat nog niet is gebeurd en Catawiki nog niet voor alle verzamelaars toegankelijk is, zullen we elkaar nog vaak in forums en op verschillende rubrieken tegen komen (ik kijk er naar uit).
