The latter is indeed the best starting point. I saw Nightfall as a story name that spans several parts, as is often the case with other series: The secret of the great pyramid 1 and 2 is also not a separate series.

Can the completion instructions for the Album series field be modified? The option to work with “PUBLISHER expenses” is not described there. This is especially important for series in which the publisher has changed, especially if earlier albums are reissued by the new publisher.
I couldn't find out how you guys decided on the main sequence now. Has a solution been found? The change of publisher over the duration of a series is in my opinion the biggest problem in designating a particular album series as the main series. You could opt for a main series that only includes the first edition of the first editions, but even then you get into trouble with, for example, the Lombard vd Helmond editions that usually appeared in the same year.

Sorry - I see the album sequence fill-in instructions answer all of my questions.

Regarding the series “Stripnieuws” (magazine)
I don't think it is entirely clear yet which album series to stick to. At first, the series is only referred to as a year number, and it has suddenly changed to year name.
The magazine clearly shows the volume number and magazine number of editions. The volume of the year was therefore first maintained as an album series.
It seems to me to continue to use this because it is also indicated that way on the magazine.
Now the transition is also very unclear. Because two volumes have become incomplete as an album series.
I am referring to two magazines of “5th volume” which are now in “volume 2007/2008”.
In order to standardize, it seems to me that a decision has to be made as to what to use as an album series.
Or do others think very differently about this?

Hm, I just noticed that in the album series year 2009/2010 there is no mention of the year number on the magazine, and I don't see the newest one either. Well at the back of the magazine ...

I once tried to sort things out, but the vintages run across the years, so the order shown by CW is not chronological. This is a tricky one ..

If you come to a good solution Jilles, at Heavy Metal (magazine) (English) everything is mixed up for the same reason. in any case, it is clear that they are mixed up.
At first I couldn't make sense of it.

Wouldn't it be easier and clearer to divide the album series a bit.
Now there is a whole series of series with the larger series (for example Suske en Wiske) that you will not find anymore.
If we now would merge those series so that when clicking on that series the subdivisions become visible.
For example, you could create a series of “advertising releases” with the sub-series underneath: dash, omo, ...
Also “other languages” true again; French, German, Swedish, ...
Occasional editions; comics fair here, comics prize there, ...
Then you get a much better overview and that list will be a lot shorter.
I don't know if that is possible it seemed useful ...
I will hear if I am alone or if there are others find that too.

Strange that you find strings with nothing in them… .. I always thought they were automatically “cleaned up”. At least that's my experience!

Do you have examples of these empty series JozefK?
By the way, you are right that it should be clearer with the big series, especially S & amp; W and Tintin. I think we should merge series there.

They are not empty strings. The list is so long because each item becomes a series. If you make an album series "advertising releases", and put all releases under it, your list is suddenly 40 series shorter. This will give you a better overview.
If you want to search further in the series of advertising albums, click on it and the list of all advertising releases will appear.

Perhaps Experiment626 is right about the foreign language series, if only because my proposal may be technically difficult to realize. I am only afraid that with certain series you will still end up with endless lists of album series.
And that fear seems to me to be justified and has already come true with the larger series.

Juniorpress's monthly Hulk series is now in the album series: Juniorpress - Comics.
Better be called Hulk JPS comics.
Actually, the entire album series Juniorpress - Comics can go because that is not an album series.
