In Catawiki it says that Harald the Viking's first album contains the story 'the legacy of Sigurd'. In my old Matla it says that this album contains the story V1 Harald the Viking.
What is correct?

V1 = Het neveleiland (of Het misteiland) (oorspronkelijke titel L'île de la brume)
V2 = De erfenis van Sigurd (La lueur verte)
V3 = Het rode eskader (L'escadre rouge)
V1 = The fog island (or The fog island) (original title L'île de la brume)
V2 = The legacy of Sigurd (La lueur verte)
V3 = The Red Squadron (L'escadre rouge)
V4 = In the grip of fear (L'escale de la peur)
V1 may also have received that title later, when it turned out that it did not stop at 1 part.

Zit daar V1 of V2 in? 20388
Okay, but what story is in that first 'Harald the Viking' album that originally has no title. Is there V1 or V2 in it? 20388

Given that the Lombard reprint has been given the title Het misteiland and the list of Boekenmagazijn I think that in the first book release story V1 and that is not the inheritance.

So it does indeed say V1 Het fog island. I have now adjusted that (a little over six years later).
Is it a known problem that ( at the first edition ) the second page (p 5-6) is reversed? The numbering is correct, but the drawings on page 5 belong to 6 and vice versa.
This version from 1983 is called this modified, so it is okay there.
Have the other editions from 1959 and 1966 does that change already or did that error remain there?

Gosh, still the correct answer.
The Story Title in the Dutch editions should then be:
Harald the Viking [= The Miss Island]
The title must always be what is in the book. Maybe you want to drop by them?
In the Van der Hout edition, the pages seem to be in the correct order.

Aangepast!
Amended!
If I can assume that that page is 'wrong' everywhere, then I will also add it to the details. Can someone check his copy?
So page 5 starts with "Thank God, ..." and page 6 with "The next day ..." and that should be reversed.
The "Van der Hout & amp; Co - NV" version with mention "Copyright 1958 at the Lombard Editions, Brussels." indeed does not have the error.
Harald the Viking
Plate 3 (= page 5) starts with "The next day ..." in the yellow text block.
Plate 4 (= page 6) starts with "Heaven thank you, that I wrecked yours "as the first line in the speech bubble.
Incidentally, I wonder what shows that this edition was from 1966?

The publisher Vanderhout released albums in the period 1966-1968. Then it was over and out ..
The window in which these editions are distributed is therefore not very large.

I'm afraid you're making a mistake.

According to that data, the releases within that fund of original Lombard albums run from 1964 to 1968 (Aunt Zenobie).
There may be a clear year in the part "Het Rode Eskader" that was released after the album "Harald de Viking". It might then be possible to conclude that the first dates from 1966.

The window is even smaller. Sometime in 1967 Helmond took over the Lombard license, so 1967 is the maximum year for this album.

1966 -1968 Vanderhout
1968-1978 Helmond
1979-1983 Albracht
Vanaf 1984 nam Lombard het heft weer in eigen handen..
I'm afraid you're making a mistake.
The catalog contains albums from 1964 (Dan Cooper) to 1978 (Sandokan), with a lot of magazine-like issues in between:
I don't know if I'm making a mistake. What I do know is that the Sandokan editions from 1978 are not by Vanderhout but by the Vrijbuiter.
In addition, until 1965, Lombard owned the Lombard collection in-house ....
In the Netherlands, the Lombard albums were distributed as follows:
1966 -1968 Vanderhout
1968-1978 Helmond
1979-1983 Albracht
From 1984, Lombard took matters back into his own hands ..
Escadrille (1967?, volgens Matla's 8e) in Catawiki 1964
Meester (1965!, volgens Matla's 8e) komt nu dus wel overeen
Renbaan (1965!, volgens Matla 8e) komt nu dus wel overeen
Tocht (1967, volgens Matla's 8e) in Catawiki 1965
But if you're right about the year 1966 (and I don't know why not, that was also the reason for my original question about "Harald"), then two of these Dan Cooper and Michel Vaillant albums published by Van der Hout would be a have the wrong year in the Catawiki overview:
Escadrille (1967?, according to Matla's 8th) in Catawiki 1964
Meester (1965!, according to Matla's 8e) now matches
Renbaan (1965!, according to Matla 8e) now corresponds
Journey (1967, according to Matla's 8th) in Catawiki 1965
Unfortunately, my original question still remains unanswered. What is the year of publication? And on top of that, how could there be any releases for 1966 if the publishing house didn't release anything from Lombard back then?
As far as I know, it's not in the books themselves. And according to Matla neither, because an exclamation mark at the end of the year means, according to the explanation in the comic catalog, that the years in or on the book are not the year of publication...
In Matla's 8th (which I have now been able to grab...) there is also the first softcover album by " Harald de Viking " with V1, at Van der Hout (and Lombard!) 1967 .
