I received a question from collector Wim about the first editions of the children of the wind series. I have (I thought) 1st editions in accordance with what is known in the catalog. However, according to the collector, all parts individually have different endpapers. I have no mention of the volumes with the correct year of publication, 2nd edition, nor new edition. Parts 1, 2 and 5 (1981, 1981, 1985) bracts birds in a pink cloudy sky, volume 3 (1981) bracts Fort Saint Louis and 4 (1982) the prison ship.

Wim says otherwise (but perhaps he means the reprints ??):

In the first part (girl in the mitts) there was a (me

& gt; meen) elaborated drawing of the Foudoyant (the ship with which the

& gt; story began)

& gt; The second part (the prison ship) had a picture of the

& gt; prison ship on endpapers

& gt; The third part (trading post Judah) has a map of the fort.

& gt; The fourth part (the hour of the snake) has pictures of the Marie

& gt; Caroline (the ship they take to Africa)

& gt; The fifth part (the ebony) has the same image as

& gt; ship, but now equipped as a transport ship for slaves.

I hope someone can bring light into the darkness

for gr Harry J
