Omdat ik niet in het bezit ben van een 1e of oude druk van " de Jappen vallen aan" ben ik maar eens begonnen in het Robbedoes album no 20, waar Buck op 2 januari 1947 doelloos zwervend door New York aan zijn 1e avontuur begint. In zwart-wit , pas in kleur 19 juni 1947 , waarbij het mij opviel dat ten opzichte van de albums (ik heb een late herdruk) bij elke bladzijde het 1e plaatje is vervangen door een verklarende tekst ( voor toentertijd de jonge lezertjes) wat er die vorige week in het Buckavontuur allemaal gebeurde. Wellicht is dit voor de Buck Danny kenners geen nieuws , maar ik vroeg mij af of in de 1e druk van het Dupuis uit 1947 “ de 1e plaatjes al zijn bijgevoegd en of deze ten behoeve van het album werden "bijgetekend" .

Bij de geheimen van Midway ( begint in het laatste nummer van het Robbedoes album no 22) zie ik geen 1e plaatje meer met verklarende teksten.
