Ach ja, weer een erfenis van de Bonte-catalogus!
Langzaamaan verdwijnen die lege plekken uit de CataWiki Catalogus. Liefst zo snel mogelijk! Het aantal verzamelaars in CataWiki is nu al gestegen tot 75 000 en daar zitten hopelijk ook veel verzamelaars bij die die lege plekken aan kunnen vullen.
En voor de postzegelrubriek hoop ik ook dat er meer postzegelverzamelaars tussen zitten. Statistisch gezien is de kans dan groter dat er meer mensen zijn die ook wat plaatsen in het postzegelforum. Dan reageren niet altijd maar dezelfde mensen.
Lordernie, beter een slechte scan dan geen scan! En als iemand een betere scan heeft, dan des te beter! Zolang het maar geen verkoper is, want die "vergeten" vaak hun betere afbeeldingen toe te voegen aan CataWiki, zeker als er al 1 afbeelding staat.
Leuke reeks, die Bravo tijdschriften!

Slowly those empty spaces are disappearing from the CataWiki Catalog. Preferably as soon as possible! The number of collectors in CataWiki has already risen to 75,000 and hopefully there are also many collectors who can fill in those empty spaces.
And for the stamp section I also hope that there are more stamp collectors among them. Statistically, it is more likely that there are more people who also post something in the stamp forum. Then not always the same people respond.
Lordernie, better a bad scan than no scan! And if someone has a better scan, all the better! As long as it is not a seller, because they often "forget" to add their better images to CataWiki, especially if there is already 1 image.

zal ze dan eens op mijn gemak inscannen of fotograferen, heb voor het ogenblik niet veel tijd en he er een veertigtal. Ben alles zo veel mogelijk aan het catalogeren, maar kom veel tegen die er wel opstaat, maar zonder foto's of met verkeerde foto'f zoala van het tijdschrift tkapoentje van 1955
Catawiki 74634 en 74636 zijn gans verkeerd, zal die dan ook eens verbetern ;)

Iemand enig idee wie de tekenaar is van "Annie" in de jaren '40 in Bravo!? (Niet little Annie).
Zoals hier op de cover.
De stijl doet wat denken aan de "breng ze levend terug" versie van Ed Stevensen in Robbedoes eindjaren '30.
Anyone have any idea who the draftsman is for "Annie" in the 1940's in Bravo !? (Not little Annie).

The style is somewhat reminiscent of the "bring them back alive" version of Ed Stevensen in Spirou's late 1930s.

Ons "Annie" blijft me kopzorgen geven. De reeks loopt maar een tijdje van nr 33 in 1942 tot het derde nummer van 1943, 25 pagina's.
Nergens een signatuur te vinden, geen kleine kribbel of afkorting, niets.
Het begint allemaal spannend met de tekst:
Vier vliegers onder wie een jong meisje, Annie, vertrokken uit het Anders-gebergte, zijn bij een ontdekkingstocht in de Matto Grosso, in de handen van een wilde volksstam gevallen. Zij kunnen vluchten, maar een vliegtuigdefect dwingt hen te landen in het oerwoud. De schok is zoo heftig, dat zij duizelen, en wanneer zij weer tot bewustzijn komen, hebben zij het geheugen verloren. Zij herinneren zich niet meer vanwaar zij komen, weten niet waar zij zicht bevinden.
Het Amerikaanse gezeldschap bestaat uit dokter Chrono, Jack, Sam en dan ons Annie. Uiteindelijk gaan ze Atlantis zoeken maar komen in het hol van "de Snoek" (drugssmokkelaar).
Aangezien Jacobs eind 1942 Stormer Gordon overneemt van Raymond, omdat de bezetter geen Amerikaanse uitgaven toeliet, zou het verdwijnen van Annie daar ook mee te maken kunnen hebben en moeten we misschien ook in die richting gaan zoeken.
Haar eerste woorden op de eerste pagina (in nr 33 van 1943) zijn dan ook:
Hoe zonderling dat niemand zich herinnert vanwaar wij komen!
Of begint er bij iemand een frank te vallen (oud Vlaams gezegde).

Nowhere to find a signature, no small crib or abbreviation, nothing.
It all starts exciting with the text:
Four pilots, including a young girl, Annie, departed from the Anders Mountains, while exploring the Matto Grosso, fell into the hands of a wild tribe. They can flee, but an airplane failure forces them to land in the jungle. The shock is so violent that they feel dizzy, and when they regain consciousness they have lost memory. They don't remember where they came from, they don't know where they are.
The American company consists of Dr. Chrono, Jack, Sam and then our Annie. Eventually they go looking for Atlantis but end up in the den of "de Pike" (drug smuggler).
Since Jacobs at the end of 1942 Stormer takes over Gordon from Raymond Since the occupier did not allow American spending, the disappearance of Annie could also be related to this and we may have to look in that direction as well.
Her first words on the first page (in nr 33 of 1943 ) are therefore:
How strange that nobody remembers where we come from!

Goed speurwerk! We hadden zelfs al een boekuitgave van die strip. Inmiddels alles aangepast. Frank Godwin blijft gewoon Frank en niet Francis, want we doen niet aan afwijkende geboorte- of doopnamen.
Weet alleen niet wat de Amerikaanse naam is van Sam.
Good research! We even already had a book edition of that comic. Everything has now been adjusted. Frank Godwin will remain Frank and not Francis, because we do not use different birth or baptism names.

Dacht ik ook eerst, maar hij lijkt er niet echt op. Het zou Godwins padvindersstrip kunnen zijn, maar op de drie pagina's die we als afbeelding hebben zie ik geen verwijzingen naar scouting. Dus ik laat het maar even zo.
I thought at first, but it doesn't really look like it. It could be Godwin's Boy Scout comic, but on the three pages we have as an image, I don't see any references to scouting. So I'll just leave it that way.

De achternaam van Sam is trouwens Smith.
In Spirou "Les aventures de Sam" maar daar heeft men doorgaans vraagtekens bij de tekenaar. Er staat zeker niet Godwin, zoals ook ik vermoed.

By the way, Sam's last name is Smith.

Eerste keer dat deze losse bijlage vescheen was in nummer 22 van 1946 (30 mei 1946).
Moet/mag deze losse bijlage apart ingevoerd worden of enkel als 3e afbeelding bij het desbetreffende weekblad?

Het bulletijn was een losse pagina, die wel meegenummerd was (in het begin toch ik weet niet of dat altijd zo is gebleven), maar dus niet in de bundelingen ingebonden is. Het was eigenlijk het clubblaadje. Het bevat voornamelijk tekst met hier en daar een illustratie. Er staan geen strips op.
Maar de blaadjes hadden wel een apart volgnummer (nr1 bijlage bij weekblad 22, nr 2 bijlage bij nr 23, ...)

The bulletin was a separate page, which was numbered (in the beginning, I don't know if it always remained that way), but was not bound in the bundles . It was actually the club sheet. It mainly contains text with occasional illustrations. There are no strips on it.
But the leaves did have a separate serial number (no. 1 appendix to weekly magazine 22, no. 2 appendix to no. 23, ...)
