A large number of scale models of the spaceships were released in Germany a few years ago. I only have 3 of those, but now I want to put them in my collection.

However, I am not sure which category they belong to. I already see the most famous spaceship (enterprise NCC-1701) among the car models, but it is actually not a car. I myself was thinking about aviation.

What do the administrator say?

It's not toys, they're miniatures. I would place them myself in the section Figurines / Figures / Figurines / Miniatures with the theme Space / Space.

Aviation is not a category. And they just belong to the car scale models.

And they just belong to the car scale models.

Yes, because like real cars, real spaceships are too big to collect (for most people).

Spaceships aren't cars, so they don't belong there. I would like to embrace Gray's idea ...

What belongs in the Model Cars section? Are motorcycles included? What about petrol pumps, garages, tools, helicopters, trams, trains, vessels, road signs, planes?

P.S. The Type is a collection of all kinds of features. The section appears to be primarily designed for scale models of real existing cars. For a good division of different (fantasy) car thumbnails, some extra fields (eg Series or Theme) might be useful.

Yes, but that's not possible.

This section only includes cars. Ted has already transferred a lot of the rest to other sections. We don't want to mop with the tap open ...

What Gray Says, figurines/miniatures

There are even star trek models in that section.

That's where they belong, together with, for example, the models of the thunderbirds or cars , just to name two (adjacent) side streets.

The models can be 'safely' accommodated in the section Figurines / Thumbnails.

The lost spaceships at Model Cars have meanwhile made the voyage home to the appropriate section.

Aren't Cars Cars ?

The stray spaceships at Model Auto's have meanwhile made the voyage home to the correct section.

Not all of them yet: Space travel .

Fantasy cars have no size, so no scale?

Fantasy cars have no size, so no scale.

True, but Star Trek and Thunderbirds models do have a scale. Or can have them. So that's not the overriding argument for banning or allowing them.

Do you want to claim that those Star Trek and Thunderbird spacecraft also exist on a 1: 1 scale?

The grinder could argue that the original thunderbirds models, made by Gerry & amp; Sylvia Anderson, by definition 1: 1, but you probably don't mean that. :)

But 1: 1 is not necessary either, as far as I know, Dinky toys has never released a 1: 1 car.

For the rest, star trek and thunderbird models, if true to nature in terms of proportions, are indeed "to scale". Picard's enterprise is 641 meters long (looked up on Wiki, I'm not a trekkie), so you can calculate the scale of every model of it
