Enkele jaren terug is voor de duidelijkheid besloten het verschijnsel boxen gelijk te trekken bij de rubrieken Boeken, Strips, Platen & CD's en DVD/Video/Blueray. Een box is binnen Catawiki iets dat meerdere items omvat die op hun beurt apart in de catalogus mogen worden opgenomen. De ene gebruiker wil de losse items (inhoud en box) in de eigen collectie zien, de andere gebruiker alleen de volle box. Dat is een persoonlijke keus, en Catawiki biedt beide typen gebruikers dus die vrijheid.
Zit één item in een stofomslag, een schuifdoos, een huls, etc..., dan gaan we ervan uit dat dat de meest complete vorm is waarin een object is verspreid en dat zo'n omhulsel onderdeel uitmaakt van het item. In zo'n geval nemen we het item slechts één keer op, liefst met voor- en achterkant van het omhulsel als afbeelding 1 en 2 en het kale item zelf als afbeelding 3. Gebruikers die het omhulsel missen, kunnen dat in hun collectie als notitie vermelden en zijn natuurlijk ook vrij dit voor hunzelf als nieuwstaat te bestempelen.
Vraag: Ik heb een box Best of the West met 3 speelfilms , kan ik dit in 1 catalogusitem kwijt als box met inhouds vermelding of moet ik de box en de 3 dvd s opvoeren ? Dat is dan wel meer werk maar als het moet .......

A box within Catawiki is something that contains multiple items that may in turn be included separately in the catalog. One user wants to see the individual items (content and box) in their own collection, the other user only wants to see the full box. That is a personal choice, and Catawiki offers both types of users that freedom.
If one item is in a dust jacket, a slipcase, a sleeve, etc ..., we assume that this is the most complete form in which an object is scattered and that such an envelope is part of the item. In such a case, we only include the item once, preferably with the front and back of the envelope as image 1 and 2 and the bare item itself as image 3. Users who miss the envelope can add it to their collection as a note and are of course also free to label it as new for themselves.
Question: I have a Best of the West box with 3 movies, can I put this in 1 catalog item as a box with content indication or do I have to add the box and the 3 DVDs? That is more work, but if it has to .......
