February 2019 I submitted 3 items to Catawiki. Cars made as decor pieces for the model railroad. Of those 3, 1 can now be found as the original entry: 7565025. The other 2 now appear to be both housed at: 2725851. What happened here?

2725851 is an Arnold Diesel locomotive, no trace of your items.

Manufacturer Jouef is a model railway manufacturer and this copy (and the whole set) is intended as scenery. Couldn't it belong here (in accordance with unfortunately unpublished model railroading manual)?

I agree with a gray, well-founded and healthy argument that fits in a correct system. Otherwise we will lose track.

Jouef is originally a French company that produces model trains. It was founded in 1944 by Georges Huard. Until 2001, Jouef produced trains in H0 (1:87) scale, which were valued more for their robustness and low price than for their naturalness.

In addition to the model trains, Jouef has also produced model cars in 1:18 and 1:43 scales and built cars for racetracks . (Wikipedia)

So not just trains.

Jouef can also be found in the section Model cars. By linking a few things you can keep it clear, even if it is in a different section.

It is a pity that the Manual Model Railway has not yet been published.

Obviously, Ted. The 1:18 and 1:43 model cars certainly belong in the model cars section. This 1:87 scale item from 1958 is more scenery for the model railway.

Ultimately not such an issue of course. A collector with a model car cap on will be more likely to place / search him in the model car section and someone with a model railway cap in the other section.

In case duplicate items occur. Linking is a great and often used option!

It is a pity that the Handboek Modelspoor has not yet been published.

A pity indeed, we have to wait for programming capacity. The model railroad manager has a detailed and up-to-date copy.

Uhhh ... in these cases nix is linked and there is nix to search for. Deleted 3 items of which 2 without notifying me.

7t65025 has been approved by the administrator "rapido". Then I added some missing information, so the description is now complete.

What happened to the 2 missing items? As an ordinary collector I cannot see that; In any case, I can't find anything and an ordinary collector can't make anything disappear. I would check with the model railroad manager.

Maybe something went wrong with the input, a malfunction?

Yes, that one is still correct. And thank you for your input and sensible input, I appreciate that very much. The insertion went well for the other two. It was only 5 weeks later, when checking the pieces in my collection, that I discovered that strange link to the Arnold diesel locomotive.

That one is now also gone. Has been transferred to model cars by the model railroad manager. Would have been more correct if that had been mentioned here, given the discussion here on the forum. Thanks.

It makes i.i.g. clear what happened (original question).

I really don't think it's possible. Frustrating and disdainful.

I only now see that I received a message on 07/04:

Dear GOIH101, this car / set is not in the train catalog and therefore does not fit in the Model trains section. Please move to the Model Cars section.

Kind regards, rapido

No is not in the train catalog, according to the erudites:

Simca Aronde (black) (sea green) ( light gray ) (blue -grey). 1964/1965 ... 1967 ???

Until 1967, there is no recording in any catalog or in any price list of these vehicles, but but they were in production and used as loads for the car transporter SNCF with Diamond bogies (http://lestrainsjouef.free.fr/en )

Look, 1 of the 2 missing items also found 02/28/2019 entered with catawiki number 7566345 and used my entered photos for the sake of convenience. There is no other option, of course, if you do not have the item in possession. Too bad that some detective work has not been done: scale 1:43?!? The picture clearly shows HO, right?

That seems like a miss. Wrong manufacturer and wrong scale.

I think it is also the wrong section as mentioned earlier, but there is a difference of opinion about that. I have sent an email about it to the contributor.

There are 6 Jouef car models sold as a set with cat. no. 180.

They are only listed in the 1958, 1959 and 1960 catalogs.

The models can be recognized by the red rims with white tires. Later models with completely red wheels have never appeared in a catalog and therefore fall outside the Model Railway according to the rules of the game.

They can be found on the website mentioned below, including a photo from the relevant catalog. ( http://lestrainsjouef.free.fr/en ).

That link was already mentioned in the message dated 19/04/2019. Useful link and when you read on, 2 references will be donated to catalogs in which the offenders can be admired visually. Rules of the game (?) ... Clear system!
