Recently came across this train and wagons in the attic. Anyone have any idea what these are and what their possible value is without the box? Look fine otherwise. Couldn't find them in the catalog so if someone has the data I can add them right away, or if you want to do it yourself that's fine too ;)

Ah, childhood sentiment! I've had those trains and wagons too and played with them! I find it very strange that they are not there, because they were very popular trains and freight wagons in the early 80s! Surely there is 1 collector (besides Lordsnader) who also collects them?

I think you should just enter them in CataWiki with the data you know. As far as I have been able to search on CataWiki, they are not there yet. Enter them in the correct category, because I couldn't quite find it when searching, but it looks like your train is a Märklin steam locomotive.

I think I saw your shell tanker too. at Märklin on the first page.

It is a pity that there are so few selection options to choose from on the main page of Model Trains! As soon as you choose selection, there are suddenly a lot of choices. (For example, click on categories, where there is now only 1 type!).

I want to enter them calmly, that's not the problem. the problem is I have no data at all except for these pictures. And I want to avoid entering anything without data.

With CataWiki it is the intention that you have them yourself and do not enter items from a photo!

If you really have the item, you can fill in a lot of data and ask much easier. answer, because it can be checked immediately.

If you do not have the item, then you do not have to enter it for CataWiki. CataWiki is about quality and not quantity!

What I actually meant is what you see in the photos is everything I see. I do have these items myself :)

The Shell tank wagon belongs to Piko.

Number is 5/6401-027 made in Eastern Germany from 1975.

The Shell Ketelwagen is also from Piko. Disagree with Gray on the number? I think the song is 54262 and it should have a brakeman's house. . See http://www.shellcollectie.be/nl/search/searchresult.php? Sw = H0 & amp; ss = 0 & amp; sin = 0 & amp; sm = 0 & amp; ssort = 1 & amp; sf = 0 & amp; page = 18, then nr. 190 at the bottom the page

Can't see it completely clearly in the picture, but the VTG tank wagon seems to have the same company number as the Shell wagon. (DB 583 439). The cart looks very plastic, unlike the Shell wagon. Think it is also Piko, but have not been able to find any further data yet.

Then a good image must be placed with the CataWiki Catalog item. Then everyone can see which copy it is.

I would like to respond to the last comment that the Shell wagon would be a Marklin wagon.

The wagon is indeed a Piko wagon, the version with brakes and thick handrails of the boiler platform. There are many more variants: with a brakeman's housing, with thin handrails of the boiler platform and various prints of the Shell logo. All wagons have wagon number 583 439. The Marklin wagons have wagon number 598 210.

The VTG tank wagon comes from the Piko junior series.
