Last dodo number 28877
Many Dees Dubbel stories by Rik Clement were published not only in the classic album form of Het Volk, but also (later) in the cheaper Ohee series. All with a different title and cover, but all links are known in the catalog via the name of the story and the story number.
There are only two stories from his Knight Reinhart series:
- The masked avenger 28868 (Het Volk 5) is obvious The red mask 25748 (Ohee 506)
- but I can't believe that "Ridder Reinhart" 28877 (Ohee 515) would be an "out of series" story. Does anyone know which story (1 to 8 but not 5) is in this? A number smaller than 5 would make sense. Is there an expert in the room?

I found confirmation from Danny De Laet that it is a reissue of "The Secret of the Lion's Castle" (as mentioned, with a different cover and title). I changed the "story title" in the catalog.

There is still something that is not right.
In the editions of Het Volk
Number 2 but also number 6 both have V3 The Red Lion as the story title.

After comparing all the sources I know ('t Kapoentje 'magazine'; 't Kapoentje 'large album'; The great Flemish illustrators 3 RIK; Ohee and Samedi-Jeunesse) I have adjusted one story number for Ridder Reinhart in the catalogue.
In my opinion, the link between Het Volk album numbers and chronological story numbers is (indeed):
1 The Secret of the Lion's Castle = V1 (also as Ohee 515 "Knight Reinhart")
2 The werewolf of the Ravenbos = V3
3 The red lion = V4
4 The wizard's dagger = V2
5 The red mask = V6 (also as Ohee 506 "The masked avenger" and also as Samedi-Jeunesse 52 "Le masque rouge")
6 The ending of the robber knight = V5 (I just changed it; it said V3)
7 The gray castle rook = V7
8 A dangerous journey = V8.

"The ghost of the Ruin" = the last story, V9, but did not appear in Het Volk. It does not have a serial number because it does not belong to a series.

Because indeed a 'V5' was not listed among 'stories in this album'.
And according to information on Wikipedia, there are even 11 stories of Knight Reinhart.

Presumably someone has counted the different album titles of Ridder Reinhart (in Dutch); and then we arrive at 8+1+2 = 11. The two Ohee's were given a different title, but are otherwise just reprints of an existing story with a different cover.

Hopefully people don't count Ri*k's albums of "De davendes van Dees Dubbel" (with or without Cesar) in the same way, because there are 24 such Ohee's in that case + 5 Fenix's.
I am still working on a complete and up-to-date overview of Dees Dubbel. I have already checked the spelling in the catalog for the editions in Het Volk, Ohee, Magnum and Fenix, as well as the correspondence of the story titles and story numbers; and also added numerous images.
