Heeft het een reden dat bij boeken nog een onderscheid wordt gemaakt tussen 10 en 13, daar waar bij strips dit niet meer het geval is

Het bijzonderste is dat je een isbn kan invullen.
Ongeacht of dat bij boeken ISBN-10 of ISBN-13 is.
Of bij strips - ISBN. 
En je er dus kan op zoeken.
Als het (juist) ingevuld is tenminste. 
En 10 weet je: voor 2007; 13 na 2007. 
Dus niks om je hoofd over te breken.

En die dienen dan 1 voor 1 (jawel) bekeken te worden en manueel aangepast te worden.
Die van voor 1970 kan je overslaan ok. Wegens nog geen isbn op dat ogenblik.
Maar hoeveel blijven er dan nog te gaan?
Enkele 100000'en?
Wie gaat zich daar mee bezig houden? Wetende dat het dus geen meerwaarde bied?
Ik niet mag je gerust weten.
Er zijn andere zaken die belangrijker zijn dan dit, Mijn mening voor alle duidelijkheid.
Enkel dat je dan zowel bij strips als boeken 2 velden voor het isbn hebt.
En om te beginnen zou het al veel schelen als het isnbn wordt ingevuld.
En liefst correct ook.
Met de - (streepjes) tussen de velden.
Want da 's nu lang overal niet het geval.
Dus moet je het isbn zelf ook nog eens gaan controleren als je het goed wil doen.
Maar, met alle respect, lordernie  , als er ooit mee zou begonnen worden zul je héél oud dienen te worden om het einde mee te maken...

So you have to check the ISBN yourself if you want to do it right.

En niet afkomen met: om de titel te zoeken; want de titel moet je overal in de hele catalogus verplicht invullen. Dus daar kun je altijd op zoeken.

Jilles vind het eigenlijk jammer dat het niet voorzien is in alle rubrieken om de barcode in te vullen, want dat is meestal de zekerste manier om een object te identificeren.
Om een voorbeeld te noemen bij cd's enz , zijn er zo veel verschillende uitgiftes (per land) dat ik daar de barcode bij bijzonderheden zet 

Jilles actually thinks it's a shame that it is not provided in all sections to fill in the barcode, because that is usually the surest way to identify an object.
To give an example of CDs, etc., there are so many different issues (per country) that I include the barcode with the details.

Wel dan heb je enkel een isbn nodig.
Of je dat isbn nu haalt uit 1 of 2 velden, wat maakt dat dan uit?...
