Someone has adjusted the numbering around the numbers 40, now I do not have those books myself to check the correct numbering and year. Can someone check this?

I don't know exactly which series are you referring to? As far as I know I haven't changed the numbering, but maybe I can help you? I do have a number of series of the Busy Bee…

I see that the 1986 edition for Bruna - Een Bommelding - which does not belong in the regular series of De Bezige Bij, is listed as number 39. The regular edition of that book eventually became part 41, but it is now logically classified as 39b. I don't know whether this is a group that Bommel enthusiasts appreciate. I personally would not want that issue for Bruna to be included.

It is the album series “Bezige Bij releases” from the Bommel series.
A certain Theokop is adapting all kinds of books in that series, he probably does not understand the system very well. problem is that I am not so sure about the numbering, of course Bruna cannot be included at all, it must be in another album series.

I have not changed the Bezige Bij editions without reasons. When looking at the catalog at the time, I saw that the image of the publication 'Een Bommelding' published in 1986 was mentioned in 1989.
It is indeed true that the 1986 edition published by De Bezige Bij for Bruna in the Bommelkatalogus by Matla was mentioned separately.
But publisher De Bezige Bij itself has 'appropriated' this publication.
For this see in De Bezige Bij Bommel paperback 'The other world'. In the complete list of Bommelpaperbacks given there, 'Een Bommelding' is mentioned between 'That gives to think' and 'A small handreiking'. .
I am inclined to follow the way De Bezige Bij follows and to label the 1986 edition as an edition with an exclusive distribution.

Yes, there is something to be said for that, especially if they call that reissue 2nd edition.

We can also take a look at the “thick matla”, if you know what I mean.

The fat Matla is not sacred and, in my opinion, persists in a task that was not addressed in the 1988 Bommel Catalog. At the time, no second edition (!) Of the book was known and certainly not that De Bezige Bij sees it as a copy in its series.

Of course not sacred in the “matla”, but neither is a publisher. It remains difficult to number unnumbered books.

That bruna issue is separate because it is a special issue that didn't actually appear in that series, a kind of advertising issue. The change of Theokop is certainly acceptable given the later releases and in the end better although it is no longer the same as the DVD or the Matla.
